The Regional Trial Court of Taguig City has released temporary restraining order or TRO on Friday that prohibits the ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation from airing the controversial and disturbing political act against Duterte that was paid for and by Sen. Trillanes IV.
The running mate of the Duterte which is Senator Allan Peter Cayetano was the one who filed the petition for injunction on Friday morning.
The said TRO was then released by the Taguig RTC in the aternoon and it will be effective for 72 hours.
The section 2 of the TRO cites that no program or sponsor shall be allowed to manifestly favor or oppose any candidate or political party.
Despite that the TRO was only addressed to ABS-CBN, Cayetano still asked other networks to cooperate and to respoect the TRO by restraining their network from showing the TV ad, thus, they will be forced to take the same legal action.
