Movie Director Eric Matti Chooses This Actress To Replace Liza Soberano

The public was surprised to know about the upcoming Darna project of Liza Soberano when she personally confirmed it on national television last May 2017. But the highly anticipated adaptation of Darna had faced a lot of controversies from the change in directors, up to the withdrawal of young actress Liza Soberano to the main role.

Hope Elizabeth "Liza" Soberano is a 21-year old actress, model, and endorser. The other half of LizQuen love team along with Enrique Gil.

It was a tough decision for the actress to give up such an iconic role but she has to do that to give justice to the character. She doesn’t also want to be a hindrance on the much awaited come back of the Filipina heroine. Liza had fractured her index finger in one of her shoots in “Bagani”.

Erik Matti revealed that Liza would have been fresh and exciting as Darna but her supporters and fans should also take time to move on as she had already decided to left the project. The renowned director had also shared who else aside from Liza can best fit in the role of Darna. And his statement was quoted as: “After her [Soberano], I only see Nadine Lustre so far as someone who can be Darna. Very sultry. She has a lot of female sensuality and at the same time still looks tough and very Filipina," the veteran director said.

Nadine Alexis Paguia Lustre or simply Nadine Lustre is a 25-year old actress, singer, model, endorser, host, dancer and music video director. She is the other half of the on and off cam love team JaDine along with James Reid.
