Idol Philippines Judges Was Criticized By the Netizens After Saying " No" To a Contestant

Filipinos are fond of beauty pageants, dancing competitions and even singing contests. We admire those people who showcase their talents to the public and serves as an inspiration to many young people as well. Many of us Filipinos were born talented in our own crafts while some take their time to develop and nurture their gifts of talent while they are still young and as when they grow older. Maybe that is why we have the heart of many contestants trying their very best to succeed in their chosen crafts.

The story of one of the “Idol Philippines” contestant really touched the hearts of the public. He is the 21-year old Luke Baylon from Tuguegarao City. He was accompanied by his two mothers on the audition venue. The judges could not help but be glad about his story and how he had his two mothers. He was actually an adopted child. His mother was a laundrywoman before and her employee wanted to adopt her child. She gave baby Luke to them but unfortunately, they were not able to support him anymore and he was given to another family and another more.

He's supposed to be the third adoptive mother who welcomed him with open arms and who was with him as he grows up revealed how blessed she was to have Luke in their life. His biological mother on the other side already accepted that Luke had his own family already but reminded him to never forget about her and visit her sometimes if he has time. Luke’s story amazes the four judges of the competition because of his amazing story. But little did he knew that he will not make it to the next level as he only got one “Yes” from judge Regine Velasquez-Alcasid. It actually earned a lot of negative reactions and comments from the social media netizens who thought that Luke should be given a chance to make it to the next level of the competition.

He has sung the famous song of Alicia Keys entitled “If I Ain’t Got You” reggae version. Unfortunately, judges Moira dela Torre, Vice Ganda and James Reid said “No” to him. A lot of netizens commented on how unfair the three judges to the contestant. Some people even say that they judged him based on his looks and not on his talent.
