A lot of people were surprised by the newest adaptation of the Pinoy iconic film Darna. It has been a long wait too many of its fans to finally welcome the actress who will portray the lead role. The public was delighted to know that the Kapamilya young actress Liza Soberano will finally be the next actress to fly as Darna. Unfortunately, due to her finger injury, she decided to withdraw on her role as she could not perform very well her stunts as wells as her grip because of her injury that still needs observation and healing until now.
Because of that, many netizens had made their own bets on who will be the next Darna. Some had also shared some photos of their favorite celebrities wearing a Darna costume. There was also a poll on the next actress to fly as the Pinay superheroine.
Laurenti Dyogi, ABS-CBN’s Head of TV Entertainment and the mind behind Star Hunt, auditions for the role of Darna will now be open to the public. Aspirants of Darna project can audition at the ABS-CBN headquarters in Quezon City on May 4 and 5. The management had also revealed that they called out for the talent agencies, former beauty queens and even athletes to help them find the newest Darna.
Recently, Julia Barreto’s audition video went viral on social media and it actually earned countless comments and reactions from the netizens. On the video, the 22-year old Kapamilya actress wearing white and her hair in ponytail went on the audition room and tell the people inside that she will be auditioning and she also asked about the requirements. It had earned a lot of mixed reactions from the netizens, some commented that she was not suitable for the role while some were very excited to see her in Darna costume. The Kapamilya actress had also revealed in one of her interviews that she really wanted to have the project but the people inside the audition room didn’t take her seriously. A lot of her fans and supporters were excited if she really was serious auditioning on the iconic role.
