There had been a number of popular celebrities posting their videos online while imitating the famous line of Darna. It has been a big question to many Filipino people who would be the next actress to portray the iconic role. Many of us could not help but be excited about the upcoming remake of the film.
Some famous celebrities who had their respective Darna audition videos posted online are Alex Gonzaga, Nadine Lustre, Julia Barreto, and Janella Salvador among others. Alex Gonzaga posted an audition video on her vlog that amazes a lot of her fans and gained hilarious comments and reactions. Nadine Lustre has been the personal choice of the renowned director Erik Matti and former Darna Lorna Tolentino who portrayed the superheroine role in 1977.
Meanwhile, Julia Barreto’s audition video delighted the public but the producers did not take her so seriously. Janella Salvador had an interview with Boy Abunda in “Tonight with Boy Abunda” and she had also tried the famous Darna shout. Barbie Imperial also wanted to audition but due to some of her commitments and priorities, she did not make it. Instead, she wanted to be the famous villain named Valentina. Sanya Lopez had also been eyed by many people to be the next Darna, according to the Kapuso actress, if her network would agree to the invitation she will be grateful for it.
Recently, another Kapamilya actress astounded the netizens in her portrayal of the iconic role. Loisa Andalio’s Darna video elicited mixed reactions from the people. Many netizens commented that she was suitable in the role as she has the body and the face but there are also some who didn’t like it as she is a little bit short than the usual tall characteristic of the Darna character.

She became prominent after she had been a PBB housemate in April 2014 of the fifth regular season of Pinoy Big Brother, Pinoy Big Brother: All In.
