Philip Salvador Clarifies The Real Story Regarding Eddie Garcia's Incident

 

Recently, the public was shocked to know the news about the veteran actor Mr. Eddie Garcia was on the Intensive Care Unit after he collapsed on the set of a teleserye he was shooting last June 8, 2019.y

The GMA network had released a statement about the incident stating that they would be reviewing the recorded video of the incident. Award-winning actor Philip Salvador had shared online what really happened with Mr. Eddie Garcia on the set through the social media account of Robin Padilla.

On the viral video, the actor revealed that Mr. Eddie Garcia didn’t have a heart attack but he had actually stepped on cable wire and that causes him to collapsed and lost his consciousness. This was the quoted statement of Philip Salvador towards the incident.
“Balitaan niyo inatake daw si EG, si Eddie Garcia. Dun po sa lahat ng mga fans niya, sa mga followers niya, hindi po siya inatake. Mahusay po at matibay ang puso ni Eddie Garcia. Nadisgrasya po siya, naaksidente po siya. Sumabit po ang paa niya sa cable. Siya po ay 90 years old so hindi po siya nakabalanse. “Bumagsak po siya at hindi po maganda ang kanyang pagbagsak. Hindi po siya inatake kagaya ng inyong mga narinig. Bilib po kami kay Eddie Garcia dahil ayaw ho niya magpa-double, nobenta anyos na ho siya. Hinihiling po namin sa inyo ngayon, dasal para sa ating isa pang hari ng pelikulang Pilipino na si Eddie Garcia.”

The said television series was entitled “Rosang Agimat”, the 90-year-old veteran actor had revealed in one of his interviews before that he will never retire until there are still people who want him to perform and who still wanted him to showcase his talents even at 90-years-old.

Many netizens are worried about what happened to the veteran actor. All the Filipino people are really praying for his fast recovery.

Eddie Garcia, popularly known as Manoy in the show business industry was born on the 2nd day of May 1929 from Sorsogon. He is a well-known actor and director. He already had more than 300 films as of 2011 and he had appeared mostly in a number of Philippine movies. He was also the only individual inducted in three categories in the FAMAS Hall of Fame: Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor and Best Director.
