Since Liza Soberano announced her withdrawal from the role because of her injury, the role has been vacant and the Star Cinema production is still eyeing for the next actress to play the role. No doubt, our Miss Universe can portray the role considering her beauty, her physique and her charm, she is already a package as the next Darna. But will she audition for the role?
In one of her interviews she mentioned that she would be interested to be part of the entertainment industry, for she is also a performer herself, though not an actress, but she is a singer. But she would be willing to undergo training and workshops and trainings if it is required. “Am I open for acting po? Yes., I’m open to every opportunity that may come my way. Acting is a field that I have not yet had any experience in but I’m a very eager learner.”
That is our Miss Universe, she has been honest that she has not tried acting yet she is always ready to any challenge given to her and would be very open and eager to learn.
So, in a recent interview, the interviewer took this chance to ask if she would be interested to be the next Darna, she replied, “If the opportunity came to audition for a certain role, I would very much be open to it.”
There have been several photos circulating online with edited photos of Darna with different stars on her face. One is Miss Universe 2015, Pia Wurtzbach, Nadine Lustre, and actress Jessy Mendiola. But just recently, Jessy rejected the idea of being Darna, for she mentioned that the one who should play the role should be a Morena, to well represent Filipina color.What do you think?
