Rita Gaviola had also been a part of Pinoy Big Brother 7 where she was dubbed as "The Badjao Girl of Lucena" because of her ethnic background. She was first seen on different social media platforms as her photo went viral and had earned a lot of attention from the social media community. Her viral photo was caught in the Pahiyas Festival in Lucban as she asked alms from people. Her beauty captivated a lot of netizens and it became the start of her new life.

Her life, together with her family was a bit hard and challenging before. She needed to asked alms from other people just to provide food for her younger siblings and to support her family. After a few years since she went viral, she had already made their home a renovated one since she had a modeling career and focuses on her studies as well.
